It is a Muslim ritual called pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in a specified date and month every year. It has certain special rituals called “Rituals of Hajj”, and it is

.an obligation once in a lifetime, to every capable Muslim adult

:Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam as the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, said Islam is built around five (pillars): The testimony that there is no god except Allah )) and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, to establish prayer, to give alms (Zakaat), to fast in Ramadhan, and, to perform Hajj (pilgrimage) for whoever is able to find thereto a way)). The Hajj is an individual duty to every adult, sane Muslim as stated in the Qur’an: “And proclaim to the people the Hajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every

.”distant pass

Rrituals of Hajj begin at the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah’s month (the 11th month of the Islamic calendar), so the pilgrim wears the Ihram at specified pilgrimage Miqats areas, then after this act he/she must leave to reach Mecca to perform the arrival tawaaf (circumambulation), then goes to Mina to spend the day of Tarwiyah, after to Arafah and spend the day in Arafah, then the pilgrim has to stone the jamarat at jamrat al-ʿaqaba al-kubra than, the pilgrim goes back to Mecca to perform tawaf al-ifadah, and then return to Mina to spend the days of at-tashreeq and the

stoning ritual (ramy jamarat), and then the pilgrim goes back again to Mecca to perform farewell circumambulation (tawaaf al-wada) and then he/she leaves the

.holy places

The Hajj was a religious ritual before Islam, Muslims believe that this is a ritual that God imposed on previous nations such as hanafije (the ones who inclined toward truth), the followers of the religion of the Prophet Abraham, as stated in the Qur’an: “And [mention, O Muhammad], when We designated for Abraham the site of the House, [saying], “Do not associate anything with Me and purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who stand [in prayer] and those who bow and prostrate”. People were performing it in the days of the prophet Abraham and after him, but they violated some of the rituals of Hajj and they invented new rituals. This continued until the appearance of the idolatry and the worship of idols in the Arabian Peninsula by Amr bin Lahiyy. The Prophet has performed Hajj only once, and this is the farewell pilgrimage at the tenth year of Hijri in which the Prophet has performed and showed the correct form of Hajj rituals, and he said: (Take your rituals after me). The Prophet peace be upon him held his famous sermon in which he fulfilled the rules and fundamentals of the

.Islamic religion

Muslims believe that the pilgrimage has many spiritual, psychological, social and political benefits. Among the Hajj requirements there is the fact that the pilgrims should rise their voices saying Talbiyah “Labbayka Allaahumma labbayk, labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk. Inna al-hamd wa’l-ni’mata laka wa’l-mulk, laa shareeka lak (Here I am, O Allaah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise and blessings are Yours, and all sovereignty, You have no partner)”. Talbiyah rises hope in the heart; the hope that the nation is still well and that the future is shinning with forgiveness and peace. As fidelity must be renewed this is a self-revolution which must happen inside ourselves. A revolution on habits, traditions, norms and behaviors that are contradictory and inconsistent with the rights brought by the Prophet, peace be upon him. The nation must achieve what is supposed to be achieved by pronouncing these words in the talbiyah, through an

.accepted call but not an accepted supplication

God describes that who follows the Abraham path and religion as being with the best religion, the righty’s path saying: “And who is better in religion than one
who submits himself to Allah while being a doer of good and follows the

religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth? And Allah took Abraham as an

intimate friend” (An-Nisaa: 125). Afterwards, God followed that statement, description and judgment by directing that order and commissioning to the Prophet, peace be upon him, to speak out and announce the reality of faith and the origin of his method and his religion. He also ordered him and the followers to follow this path which is the true religion in which there is no warp and doubt: He says:

Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path – a correct religion – the “ way of Abraham, inclining toward truth. And he was not among those who associated others with Allah. Say, “Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the
